on March 30 2020, the Federal Government of Nigeria led by His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari made the COVID19 Regulations as a response to the outbreak of the deadly pandemic in Nigeria. The Regulation was made pursuant to section 2, 3 and 4 of the Quarantine Act and all other laws which vests the president with the right to make the regulations. Regulation one provides for the restriction of movement in Lagos State, The Federal Capital Territory and Ogun State for an initial period of 14 days.  Regulation two provides that all sea ports  and vehicles transporting necessaries shall remain operational however, the drivers conveying cargos will be screened. Regulation three provides for the suspension of both private and commercial passenger aircraft, while regulation four provides for personal sacrifice by the citizens based on the hardship that the implementation of the regulation might cause and regulation 5 provides for the provision of  relief materials to those in  need that are affected by these regulations.
