The Chief Judge of Oyo State on 28th April 2020 issued Practice Directions on court sittings in Oyo State.
The Practice Directions are made in line with the COVID-19 Regulations and pursuant to the Quarantine Act Cap Q2 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 and the Directive of the Honourable Chief Justice of Nigeria by circular No NJC/CIR/HOC/11/631 on Preventive Measures on the Spread of Coronavirus (COVID 19) and the Protection of Justices, Judges and Staff of Courts.
The Practice Directions make provisions for entry into court premises; case management; filing of new cases/commissioning of affidavit; COVID 19 compliance; and the application of the Practice Directions. The Practice Directions took effect from 27th April 2020.
