Lawrence, Fubara Anga recently spoke on “Effective Regulatory Oversight in Aviation Industry: Emerging Global Trends” on the 30th of April, 2013 at the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies.

 

The lecture examined the emerging trends in the aviation industry around the world and how it has affected the Nigerian aviation sector.

 

The legal and economic implications of international treaties such as the Chicago Convention and its relationship with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Act, 2006 and the Civil Aviation Regulations were examined at great length.

 

The programme was well attended by stakeholders in the Nigerian aviation sector.

Mrs ‘Funke Adekoya, SAN was invited by the Ijebu Ode Branch of the Nigeria Bar Association to deliver the  annual lecture at its 15th edition which held at the Chris Ogunbanjo Centre, Erunwon, Ijebu Ode on 12th July 2012. Noting the current challenges faced by many lawyers today, and the  threats and  opportunities they present for the national bar association,  the topic she selected was ‘The Legal Profession and the Bar Association: Avoiding the extinction of One or Both.’  Members of the bar and the bench were in attendance.
