Child life-line is a voluntary, non-profit-making and charitable association catering for children in need. It opened its first residential rehabilitation centre for street children in November, 1995 in facilities loaned to it by the Lagos State Government at the Boys Remand Home in Oregun, Lagos State. It has since moved to its own property at Ibeshe in Ikorodu local Government, Lagos State. Today, the home has its own facilities including a boarding house, kitchen, a dinning hall and two semi-detached staff quarters.
The children at the home either go to school or learn a trade. Several of the boys have done well academically and are currently in tertiary institutions. While some of the boys have gone on to become independent craftsmen like tailors, motor mechanics, artists, refrigerator technicians etc.
ǼLEX is proud to support Child Life-line. (www.childlifeline.org)
