Profile

Sina had spent the last ten years advising on various areas of legal practice including but not limited to commercial law, energy law, and environmental law. Sina advised on structuring joint venture arrangements for oil exploration, acquisition of upstream assets; advised, drafted and negotiated various upstream agreements including drilling contracts, oil terminal agreements and crude lifting agreements.

Sina has been involved in advising government, multinational oil companies and project developers on diverse contractual regulatory and policy issues. He was involved in the design of HSE regulatory compendium for major oil companies. He had advised several clients on gas sales and transportation issues, establishment of gas processing facilities and on environmental obligation associated with project development. He had drafted and negotiated engineering, procurement & construction contracts for the design and construction and installation of gas processing facilities.

He was involved in the development of the National Gas Supply and Pricing Policy and the subsequent Regulations developed to implement the Policy. Sina played a key role in developing and drafting the template gas supply and gas transportation agreements which underpins domestic supply of gas in Nigeria and details the commercial arrangements and risk allocation among suppliers, purchasers, transporters and shippers of gas.

He has trained senior executives of power generation companies on gas utilization, offtake and transportation contracts.
