Mrs Funke Adekoya SAN is a partner at ǼLEX where she heads the Dispute Resolution practice with a focus on arbitration. In addition to having over 40 years of experience in commercial litigation and corporate dispute resolution she is a Chartered Arbitrator of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and regularly sits as an arbitrator and appears as counsel in institutional and ad hoc arbitration proceedings both in international and domestic disputes. She conducted arbitration proceedings under the ICC, LCIA, LMAA and UNCITRAL Rules.
She is a Vice President of both the ICC Court of Arbitration and of the International Council of Commercial Arbitration and a Councilor of the African Users Council of the London Court of International Arbitration. Funke was designated to the Chairman’s Panel of Arbitrators at ICSID in September 2017 for a 6 year term. She also sits on the World Bank Group Sanctions Board.
